Delete Your Vopway Account

This page explains how to request deletion of your Vopway account and the personal data associated with it. Vopway Ltd. is the developer named on the Google Play and App Store listings, and acts as the data controller for this data.

How to request account deletion

Option 1 — In the app (fastest)

  1. Open the Vopway app and sign in to your account.
  2. Go to Account → Profile → Delete Account.
  3. Read the warning, type the confirmation word to confirm, and tap Delete My Account.

Option 2 — By email

If you cannot access the app, email privacy@vopway.com from the address registered to your account, with the subject “Account deletion request”. We verify your identity before processing and complete verified requests within 30 days.

What data is deleted

When your deletion request is processed, the following data is erased or irreversibly anonymised:

  • Profile and identity data, including your name, email address, phone number, and avatar.
  • Channels and channel memberships that you own.
  • Contacts and pending invitations linked to your account.
  • Messages and voice (push-to-talk) recordings you have sent.
  • Subscription details and account settings.

What is kept, and for how long

  • 30-day grace period: your account is deactivated immediately and permanently erased after 30 days. This short window lets you recover the account if the request was made in error.
  • Encrypted backups: residual copies of your data held in routine encrypted backups are purged within 90 days.
  • Legal and financial records: billing, transaction, and tax records that we are legally required to keep are retained for the period required by applicable law, in anonymised form wherever possible.

Delete only some of your data (without closing your account)

You do not have to delete your whole account to remove specific data. To request erasure of only part of your data — for example your message history, voice recordings, or location history — email privacy@vopway.com from your registered address, describing the data you want removed. We verify your identity before processing and complete verified requests within 30 days, while keeping your account active.
